About Me

Hello! My name is Tessa, and I'm a Dutch student with a rich multicultural background. Growing up in France, I became fluent in French, Dutch, and English, which has helped me develop strong communication and adaptability skills. Currently, I'm studying Technical Computer Science at the University of Twente, where I'm building on my passion for technology and problem-solving. I have a solid foundation in programming with experience in languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, and SQL. My latest interest is in web development, where I enjoy crafting functional and visually appealing websites. I'm also working on personal projects like my portfolio website to showcase my skills and growth. Driven and curious, I love learning new things and taking on challenges. My journey in tech is just beginning, and I'm excited to see where it will take me!

Education

The Bachelor of Technical Computer Science at the University of Twente in the Netherlands is a rigorous degree designed to help me develop the theoretical and practical abilities required to build advanced computer systems. The curriculum emphasises project-based learning and covers topics including programming, networks, algorithms, and intelligent systems. For instance, in Module 4, I collaborated with a team to use HTML, CSS, and SQL to create a website for a business. For this project, managing and optimising data storage and retrieval required merging an effective SQL-based database with a user-friendly front end.

I graduated with a Bac Général from Lycée Saint Oratoire in Auch, France, in 2021, with specializations in Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry, and English. I completed my Baccalauréat with 'mention bien,' reflecting my strong academic performance. During this time, I also passed the C1 Cambridge English exam, which helped me meet the language requirements for university admission. My educational background has given me a solid foundation in both analytical and language skills, which I continue to build upon in my current technical studies.
